ACCOMACK COUNTY, VA — A 59-year-old Accomack County woman died after a crash on Route 13 early Thursday morning, and Virginia State Police say the driver of a tractor-trailer now faces involuntary manslaughter charges.
Police identified the woman as Marie R. Normil. They said she suffered fatal injuries in the wreck, which happened at the intersection of northbound Route 13 and Baylys Neck Road around 4:41 a.m. on September 18.
The crash remains under investigation, but officials have already said it involved a Freightliner Cascadia and a Nissan Frontier pickup.
