KANSAS CITY, KS — Police in Kansas City, Kansas are investigating a fatal shooting that left one adult man dead and sent a stray bullet into a school bus traveling nearby Monday morning. Officers were called just after 6:30 a.m. to the area of North 18th Street and Longwood Avenue after reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found an adult male with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
