It’s a no brainer

Its a no brainer

If you were born in the ‘90s, then you would probably know “Dumb and Dumber”. If not, you might just think the name sounds stupid. Surprisingly, the movie was hilarious for the stunts, dialogue, and the many great cameos.

The first “Dumb and Dumber” premiered in 1994 with Jim Carrey as Lloyd Christmas and Jeff Daniels as Harry Dunne, playing two dumb friends from Rhode Island. They set out on a cross-country trip to Colorado to return a briefcase, while having some crazy antics along the way.

Now, 20 years later, “Dumb and Dumber To” has arrived. It was die-hard funny and had many outrageous scenes, completely different from the original.

In “Dumb and Dumber To” the adventure begins with Harry visiting Lloyd in a mental hospital. Harry has come to visit him every day for 20 years, but then it turns out that Lloyd was never mentally unhealthy; it is just a cruel and, as Harry puts it, awesome prank. As the film continues, Harry tells Lloyd he needs a kidney.  Later, he finds out he has a daughter who is an adult now, and starts the quest with Lloyd to find her in hopes to be a suitable kidney donor.

One of the funniest parts of the movie comes when Lloyd and Harry imagines their two different views of life with Harry’s daughter in the picture. Lloyd thinks of her as his wife, while Harry imagines being in her life with Mama June from “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” as his wife.

Besides the crude humor, one thing that makes the film work are the many other star appearances in the film. Big name actors such as Bill Murray, Kathleen Turner, Jennifer Lawrence, and Rob Riggle all had cameos.

While many critics gave negative reviews, Dumb and Dumber To is one of the funniest fall movies. This movie would be great for anyone who has a great sense of humor and laughs at almost everything. You really don’t need to see the first one to get it, and it’s better than talking to your own dumb friends.
