As a series known for its famous actors and funny moments, “Hotel Transylvania: Transformania” is poison to the “Hotel Transylvania” movies. Released Jan. 14, “Hotel Transylvania: Transformania” is the fourth movie and includes all of the same characters as the previous movies but with a big change to the voice acting.

Instead of Adam Sandler, the Dracula all fans know, Dracula is now voiced by Brian Hull. This is a letdown to fans who look forward to Sandler’s comedic relief and hilarious comments. Unfortunately, this was not the only change.

Animation throughout “Transformania” looked too edited; even for an animated movie. Highlights and facial features looked too different from the previous movies.

Not only did the animation look horrible, the characters seem like they hate their lives in this movie. Although this is a kids movie and a cartoon, the acting seemed very forced from each member, even original characters like Andy Samberg (Johnny).

That is not where the disappointment ends. The storyline was predictable for most of the film. Events were corny and it seemed as if directors ran out of ideas for this series.

However, there were a few things that were smile worthy throughout “Transformania.” The music choice follows normal “Hotel Transylvania” movies: newer pop songs mixed with animated monster movie music. The directors did have their audience laughing when Johnny and Dracula were on a bus with Spanish speakers while Johnny sang “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” by Wham! in Spanish.

If you are considering watching more of this popular series, do not waste your time. Spend the hour and a half cleaning your room or doing homework instead. “Hotel Transylvania: Transformania” was a letdown and should have been wrapped up after the second movie.
