Luke Combs releases his new deluxe album “What You See Ain’t Always What You Get” on Oct. 23 with five great songs.

What you see is not always what you get, but with Luke Combs, that is not the case. It was no surprise that his newest deluxe album, “What You See Ain’t Always What You Get” was fantastic.

Combs is one of the only country artists in 2020 who does not sway into the pop genre, evident in his most recent five songs released Oct. 23. Staying true to country, Combs sticks to the normal topics: love, trucks and beer.

The five new songs on the deluxe album: “Cold As You,” “The Other Guy,” “My Kinda Folk,” “Without You,” and “Forever After All” mainly focus on love and relationships. Each one has a unique sound and talks about the good and the bad of a relationship.

“Forever After All” is the best, and you are likely to have it on repeat because of its catchy and relatable lyrics. Combs wrote “Forever After All” for his wife after they got married. He mentioned in the song that beer bottles empty, jeans fade, and trucks break down, but their love for each other will not run out. If those lyrics are not country enough for you, then I do not know what is.

Prior to the release date, fans following Combs on TikTok were privy to 30 second teasers of “Forever After All.” This increased hype for the album and the song, which was well-deserved. Everyone impatiently waited for Oct. 23, and “Forever After All” delivered, just like the rest of the album.

Combs’ music never disappoints including “What You See Ain’t Always What You Get.” His music never gets old, no matter how many times it is on repeat.
